What is a "Pin"?
A pin is a marker on the map used to inform the taxi driver of exactly where you want to be picked up (the pickup location).
Since the driver will head specifically toward the location of this "Pin," it is important to place it accurately when placing your order.
Align the tip of the pin "｜" with your desired location.
Basic operations for placing a pin

Set your pickup location (the spot where you want to board the taxi) by following these steps:
1. Display the pickup location on the map
・To ride from your current location:
Tap the white arrow icon(the compass-shaped current location icon) at the bottom right of the map.
・To ride from a different location:
Enter the address or facility name in the search bar to find your desired pickup spot.

2. Zoom in on the map
Adjust the zoom level of the map to make it easier to position the pin accurately.
3. Fine-tune the pin position
Tap and hold the map with one finger and slide it up, down, left, or right.
Release your finger once the blue pin📍 is positioned exactly where you want to be picked up.

Tips for Placing Your Pin
🔑Key Point
Always adjust the pin to a roadside location where a taxi can safely pull over and stop.
・The driver follows the Pin, not your current location:
Taxi drivers head toward the exact location of the Pin, not your smartphone's GPS (current location).
・Avoid placing pins on buildings or private property:
If the pin is placed on a building or inside private grounds, the driver won't know exactly which street to wait on.
・Avoid the middle of the road or intersections:
Placing a pin in the center of a road or an intersection may cause the taxi to arrive on the opposite side of the street or at a spot where stopping is prohibited, making it difficult to meet up.
Examples of OK and NG Pin Placement
✖ NG: Placing the pin on top of a building or an intersection
Since the exact pickup spot cannot be identified, the taxi will arrive somewhere in the general vicinity of the building. If the building or premises are large, there is a high possibility that you and the driver will not be able to find each other.
〇 OK: Placing the pin on the roadside
It is smoothest to place the pin at the edge of the road (indicated in gray) where it is easy for a car to pull over and stop.
･Zooming In/Out:
You can zoom in or out of the map by placing two fingers on the screen and spreading them apart or pinching them together. (You can also zoom in by quickly double-tapping the map with one finger).
･Specify the Side of the Road:
On large avenues or main streets, make sure to set the pin accurately so the driver knows which side of the road to pick you up from.
